This site is for those who live in or near major urban areas but have not been exposed to ideas surrounding surviving disasters whether manmade or natural. This is not a professional website. It is what I have actually seen and done. This is my real life experience. What would we do if faced with a major disruption of municipal services? Will you and yours survive? So far, probably. Fortunately most of us have not had to survive a severe major catastrophe, although in recent years several million have been through some serious disruptions here in the United States, not to mention the tens of millions around our planet with hundreds of thousands deceased. Hopefully, most us won't have to go through this. Many of the subjects brought up here are not be the for the faint of heart ; you are likely stronger and smarter than you think. If you got this far please continue; much of this is anecdotal but without conceit. I strongly advocate community spirit before the "bunkering in" syndrome. When it comes to terrible conditions, most of us want to share and pull together. Senior citizens, shut-ins, and people with disabilities will need looking after desperately. Somebody is hopefully caring for your elderly parent(s) while you're taking care of theirs.
